How Reward Points Are Allocated
When a customer makes a purchase at the counter, reward points are automatically allocated based on the profit margin for each product sold. This system ensures that the points awarded reflect the value of the purchase to the retailer. For example:
A cigarette priced at ₹100 with a 1% margin might earn 1 reward point
A pickle priced at ₹100 with a 25% margin might earn 25 reward points
Important - Purchase prices need to be as accurate as possible. Check the Inventory --> Inventory Report --> Markup Report to see if there are any abnormal markups.
Customer Visibility
After each purchase, the customer can see:
The number of points accumulated from the current transaction
The monetary value of those points
Accumulating and Converting Points
Point Collection
Customers continue to accumulate points with each purchase made at the store.
Converting Points to Vouchers
Points can be converted into vouchers using the Zeev app. Refer the below video.
Redeeming Vouchers
Once a voucher is created:
The customer visits the store to make a purchase
The discount is automatically applied on the sales as long as the customer provides the phone number.
Managing Reward Points (For Marketing Teams)
The marketing head can manage the reward point system through the Campaigns/Consumer Vouchers screen. This interface allows them to:
Define which items are available for redemption
Set the number of points required for redeeming each item. Typically this 10 times the purchase price after tax of that item.
By customizing these settings, the marketing team can strategically incentivize purchases and enhance customer loyalty. If there are slow moving items that the marketing head wants to push, he may allocate less points for that so that those items are pushed.
