This access should be treated as restricted. Please ensure the update option is used only in exceptional scenarios, such as when a machine has completely failed and a replacement machine needs to be assigned the same counter number.

Under normal circumstances, once a counter number has been used, the system does not allow the same number to be reused. This option overrides that validation check. Therefore, it should be used with caution and only when absolutely necessary.

If you need to update the POS number set on your system, please ensure the below entitlement is added to the user account.

Once the entitlement has been assigned, the user can log in to the machine and navigate to the POS menu. In the top-right corner, you will see the Update Counter icon.

Please ensure the counter is closed before proceeding. The Update option will only be visible when the counter is closed. If the counter is open, the update option will not appear.
