Selling a New Year Kit (Rs. 299)

I would like to sell a New Year Kit priced at Rs. 299, consisting of the following items:

Item

Quantity

Price

India Gate Basmati Rice

1 kg

Rs. 200

Paappad

1 packet

Rs. 50

Gulab Jamoon Mix

1 packet

Rs. 100

There are two ways to implement this in the POS system.

Option 1: Packing Batch Method

Step 1: Create a New Item

Create a new item called "New Year Kit".

  • Set this item as Own Item.

  • Define the Bill of Materials (BOM) with the following components:

    • India Gate Basmati Rice – 1 kg

    • Paappad – 1 pkt

    • Gulab Jamoon Mix – 1 pkt

Step 2: Set HSN/GST Code

  • The HSN/GST code for the kit should be:

    • Either the main item’s HSN/GST, or

    • The highest GST rate among the included items.

Step 3: Create Packing Batch

Create a Packing Batch for the item New Year Kit.

When the batch is created:

  • Kit stock increases

  • Raw material stock decreases

Step 4: Selling at POS

When the New Year Kit is sold at the counter:

  • Kit stock will reduce automatically.

Option 2: QR Code Method

Step 1: Create Offer Item

Create a new item called: Offer Rice – Rs.149. Assume the itemcodes are as follows

Item

Item Code

Offer Rice

44444

Paappad

22222

Gulab Jamoon Mix

33333

Step 2: Create QR Code String

$@4444401000#2222200001#3333300001

QR Code Format Explanation

Symbol

Meaning

$

QR Code separator

#

@

Prefix for sell-by-unit

Prefix for sell-by-weight

00001

01000

Quantity

weight in gms

Step 3: Use at POS Counter

  • Print the QR Code for the above string.

  • Keep it handy at the POS counter.

  • When scanned, all three items will be automatically added to the bill for Rs.299.

Step 4: Stock Adjustment

At End of Day (EOD):

  • Adjust the stock of Offer Rice with India Gate Basmati Rice.

Important Notes

Price changes in any of the individual items may affect the overall price of the kit.

⚠ Ensure that the barcode scanner supports QR Codes (2D scanner).
