I get additional income by selling empty cartons. How to record this income?
If you are giving sales receipt to the the party, you can create a sales receipt adding a service item ( eg:- scrap). Ensure that the item type is selected as service and sales account is selected correctly.
Another option is to create Journal Voucher - debit in Cash account( or any account where you received the amount) And Credit in income account where you want to track this income.
You may need to create a new account say Scrap Income in Custom Accounts tab
